Adventum

Adventum main title

Adventum is a short film by Ion Adrian adapted from Bruno Lowagie's story Just As He Wanted.

Originally written in Dutch (NL24-008), the story was published in the Flemish magazine Weirdo's (Year 37, No. 2, July 2024). It was later selected as one of the 42 stories included in Onvoltooid toekomstige tijd, published by Poespa Producties.

An English translation appeared in the online magazine Every Day Fiction, where it caught the attention of director Ion Adrian. He adapted the story into a screenplay, resulting in the short film Adventum, which will premiere at the Imagine Fantastic Film Festival in Amsterdam on October 31st, 2026.

The story also features in Mirror Point, the fourth installment in the Wil-Low Series.
